Qualcomm interview questions

I received an invitation to apply for this position from a QC recruiter. I thought that QC had a lack of qualified engineers and tried to get them from other companies. But I was wrong. I applied for this position and an interview coordinator contacted me to setup the interview. But when I tried to refresh my info about the position before the interview I found that the position was closed. I am not stupid and understand that a closed position means that a proper candidate already found. But why did QC perform a comedy with the interview?
