I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Qualcomm (Mumbai) in Dec 2009
Interview
I was hired from campus and there was a written test concentrated on the basics.
It was followed with 2 interviews mostly on networking, some basic C/C++ coding. It was a good interviewing experience.
Offer letter and stuff was pretty delayed,, but it was well communicated.

Visit to the company gave the feel, WOW!. Got to work here!! Highly interactive discussions. Hiring manager was very kind through out the process. He got me more interested in the position than the JD. Overall, a great experience!
