The assessment day started with an English test, which wasn’t hard, even for an Intermediate level. We were also given a task to write an essay. The topic that I had was “Decision making.” After this first stage, they announce the names of those who must leave. Next comes one on one interviews. During these interviews, you will be asked to reach with your hand to a specific point on the wall(1.90 m, I guess). Such a request is there to make sure that you will be able to reach an overhead bin in the future. Then you are introduced to a set of cards on the table. Each card is positioned face down. I had to pick one card and it revealed a question to me. Some ladies I talked to before, told me they had a question about Qatar as a country. They had to share what they knew about it. My task was to talk about what bad customer service is. After the second stage, even more people had to leave. During the third stage, the remaining potential cabin crews were divided into two groups. One of the groups had to name the advantages of social media, the other had to discuss the disadvantages. Luckily, after this stage, no one had to leave, and were invited to watch the presentation about life as a Qatar Airways crew. During the presentation, we had to fill in some documents about our body scars and some personal information. Once we were done, we were invited for the last round of one on one interviews. During the last stage, we were asked general questions about the reasons why we wanted to become cabin crew and whether we realized what kind of lifestyle it was. Even after I passed the last stage I still couldn’t believe it was happening to me. The whole process lasted from 8 am to 5 pm.
