I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at PwC in Jan 2019
Interview
They asked me to come back for multiple rounds and ask me to put off the offer from Citi group GMD, which I later found out pay at least 50% more than PwC Tokyo. For many times the manager, which seems to be a Malaysian guy living in Tokyo many years, tried to keep you and get me signed the offer letter. However, once I quit from the investment bank, PwC Tokyo ripped the offer which made me unemployed. What the stupid company. And one of the partner used to worked in New York for maybe just 2 years are super proud of his English and very condescending person. I’m just feeling lucky now I don’t need to work with these dump people selling operations solutions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Common and boring standard interview questions. If they want you really bad or normally they will get the partners to visit you at very expensive and exclusive restaurants.
5 rounds of interview with always 2 different people. The first is more informal, the second is more behavioural, the third is a case study after which you are interviewed by with seniors managers, then you have a 60 min test and finally an interview with partners.

Question 1
There were many questions that I have been asked, difficult to state the most important. Probably the case study and the interview after was very important.
Pretty straightfoward. Lots of case studies and some were harder than others. Some of the partner interviews they seemed uninterested so the vibe was off a bit. Also over zoom.
Standard case interview - 3 rounds: one behavioral, one case, one with partner. The case is s standard consulting case. The behavioral and partner interviews are standard as well. The case interview can prepped for with standard management consulting case reviews.
