      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at PwC in Oct 2010

      Interview

I applied on my school's career website. I was chosen for an on-campus interview, which was very pleasant. I interviewed with a partner. She really just asked me about myself, wanted to get to know me and if I'd fit in with the company. I really clicked with my interviewer and she even told me on the spot that she was recommending me to continue through to the next round of interviewing. However, she was not a partner of the office I had applied for, so that was a bummer. Anyway, almost two weeks had gone by when I finally heard from the campus recruiter that I had been invited to the office interview. The office interview began with a presentation from HR and a partner of the firm about the company, perks, etc. and a tour of the office. Then I had three 1:1 interviews (one with a recruiting manager, a senior director, and a partner). The first two interviews weren't too bad, consisted mostly of basic questions about myself and just random chatter. The partner interview however, was not so easy. I was asked in-depth questions about my resume. Other questions I was asked: "what was your greatest challenge studying abroad and how did you overcome that challenge?", "tell me about a time when you had a group project and there was a conflict, how did you handle the situation?", and other situational questions. After the interviews, all the interviewees and our work buddies went to lunch and that was pretty much it. We were told that we'd hear back within two weeks. I thought my interviews had gone pretty well. I really liked the atmosphere, everyone was really nice. They were having a Wii game tournament with the whole office later in the day. All around seemed like a nice place to work. Well they weren't kidding when they said two weeks. I literally heard back on the last day by an email from the HR campus recruiter that I was not chosen for the internship but to "please keep us in mind when applying for a full-time position". I was pretty much sent a generic email that was sent to everyone who was not offered a position. I thought that was kind of rude after all the time we put into it (pre-nite session the night before campus interview, campus interview, office interview) to send a generic email -- kinda changed my impression of the company.

There were two people who interviewed me to get an idea of my personality, it was ok. Both seemed to need a few moments to focus in on talking with me
