PMI Sydney chapter - Everyone is disorganised. From the bunch of interviews I had, everyone keeps dropping the ball to follow up and after 4-6 weeks get a random email asking for yet another round of interview as their HR system prompts follow-up. Out of the bunch of interviews, 70% of interviewers fail to follow-up on questions I asked or to attend it’s own committed interview time. 4-5 months interview process and it’s still not complete and it’s obvious that this Organization that prides itself as a project management leading body can’t organise its own proper interviews. It’s just a volunteer position, by comparison companies with financial stakes on-board Project managers with paid salaries within 1-3 weeks interview and have way more to lose. Stay away ! Don’t waste your time. From LinkedIn they highlight feel-good events but super disorganised inside according to my friends that volunteer on the inside of Organization . Ironic for a organisation built on certifications, great majority of PMI Sydney chapter just have the basic PMI certification and too unmotivated to upskill.
