The first step was an interview with a talent acquisition person. It was a short interview and in the interview I was told that I need to complete an exercise on which I should spend 7 hrs. I asked the interviewer about the compensation and she told me with a smirk on her face that she does not understand what I mean and this is the first time she is hearing anything like that. Anyways, after the first interview I was sent an assignment which had some essential part and some good-to-do things.
I spend my weekend on it and completed the exercise and also did 3 out of 4 good-to-have features. After 10 days of my submission I got a generic response that they find someone else who is more suitable for this position.
Company summary:
- Displaying no empathy for the candidate.
- Not appreciating candidate putting so much effort into the task.
- Providing a generic feedback.
Bottomline:
If you care for your time and maybe your family's time and if you do not have lots of extra time then avoid going through such a futile process.
