I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (Hyderabad) in Mar 2021
Interview
There are two technical interviews conducted:
The Face to Face Interview
The Problem-Solving Interview.
These technical interviews are a little difficult and complicated and it will be completely based on the details you have in your resume. They will ask you questions based on the subjects you are interested in and the projects you have done during your college time. So make sure to be genuine while writing the details on your resume.
After clearing these rounds you will have to appear for the HR round and here you will be assessed completely based on your personality. HR round is pretty much easy to clear. They will ask questions like Why you are interested to work with this company? "What makes you different from other candidates?" and questions like that. The Technical interviews are the toughest nut to crack and once you are done with technical interviews, you can be 95% confident that you are in.

Interview
An interview is an environment where neither of them present are there to impress each other but merely a brief time to understand, evaluate and share knowledge which might be of beneficial to the company hired for.
Here are a few positives:
1. Basic questions. (Professionals with 1-2 years would be able to answer them)
2. The interviewer did not hurry jumping to the next questions.
3. I remember being stuck somewhere and I requested for a hint and I was provided.
Let's go with the things which makes me image the work-ethic, the peers, the working atmosphere and the amount of empathy shown towards employees especially from the upper-management such as a Lead.
For every questions I was asked, I was making sure to be vocal with my logic and what I would potentially do to solve the problem. I even went to the extent of typing it down as I speak. One cannot immediately start typing the code based on a question asked. We need time to think and form the logic. Despite this the interviewer seemed 'paranoid'. The interviewer even had the audacity to ask 'why are you not on video?' for which my reply polite and logical.
This surely made me uncomfortable and lost all confidence in taking this forward. I honestly wanted to stop taking the interview then-and-there but that would seem unprofessional so I continued.
This also raises questions on how the organization's cultural values(since each and every employee working there is an extension of the company itself).
When one cannot 'trust' a potential employee over a simple interview process, how does one go about working ? I'm glad I did not hear back and even if I did, I would've politely declined taking it further.
To the HR:
1. Train your 'professionals'. Please make sure they are professionals and personally equipped in handing interviews.
2. Interview is an environment where the interviewer is not given a timeslot to show-case his capabilities.
3. Empathy - Kindly empathize on this. Will take you a long way as an organization.
To the future interviewers: Invest in a webcam especially one which probably gives a 360 degree video. :P
Thank you for your feedback, we're sorry to hear about your experience. We constantly aim to create the best possible candidate experience, but admittedly things can always be improved. Your feedback is valuable and will help us understand how we can evolve our interview process.

In first round, interviewer was really nice and helpful. He asked two coding questions we discussed some other possible ways that they could've been solved.
In second round, interviewer asked lots of java questions about comparator vs comparable, different patterns like Singleton, Adapter, spring concepts like AOP. I did not answer lot of it, hence got rejected.
