I applied through other source. I interviewed at PayPal
Interview
After the home assignment, the first interview was with two risk analysts from the team. They asked how could a person defraud the company. This led to a conversation about my different thoughts. After that they gave me two fictional characters and their data and I had to decide which one was trying to scam and which one was real and base the decision on the data.
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at PayPal (Bengaluru) in Mar 2020
Interview
The interview process is damn slow. I received the 1st call in March for Fraud investigation specialist. Then for about 1 month no update on the next round. Finally when they reverted back it was for some other role entirely. It took another 20 days at least to set up the 1st round of interview. The result of that was confirmed after multiple followups. I cleared that but again there is no update on the next round. I have been following up regularly but still no update. Now I see again they have posted vacancy for the 1st position to begin with. They have the policy that same resume cant be selected in next 3/6 month. This means this whole time hoping to get into a company like "Paypal" was a hoax. At least there should be proper communication. They have a team of HR.
I know it is not any company's responsibility, they can hire or reject on their wish. But the knowledge that people are getting laid off in this time(lock-down/corona), they should at least have the empathy to inform if the vacancy is there anymore or not. If one has cleared round, have the decency to inform them about the next rounds without numerous followups.
To the HR- Please respect your job. The candidate might be in a desperate situation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was only one round. The question was basic. Tell me about yourself. Responsibilities in previous organisation. How did i handle risk in previous organisation?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (Tel Aviv)
Interview
Quite standard - 1:1 phone interview, 1:2 frontal at the office, then 1:1 in person.
Included a preliminary test via email (timed), and short written test before the second interview.
Overall, everyone was nice and laid back.
