Omni Hotels interview questions

I was asked to apply for the technology intern position, I was told the company had a very conservative dress code but forgot to take out my nose stud, which the HR representative i interviewed with first pointed out to me. I then spoke to the head of IT who I would be working with, they asked about my experience and asked me when I could start. The interview otherwise went well from my perspective besides the nose stud situation. I sent a thank you and a follow up email, but never heard back from a person (or the recruiter I was talking to) I got an automated email 3 weeks later. Everyone was very nice in person, though I found it unprofessional that they would not respond to me after I took time out of my day and time off work to drive downtown and interview.
