I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Feb 2016
Interview
I signed up online through my university's internal career website. That lead to a brief email chain followed by a 45 minute on-campus interview.
The first ~15 minutes of my interview was about why I would choose NGC over my previous company. I felt like she was insinuating that I wasn't wanted back. I've never had a recruiter be so suspicious. For reference, my Lockheed interviewers saw this as a positive, not a negative.
Then we did technical questions. I listed them below.
The next bit was her explaining what she does at NGC and me asking questions about the company culture, positions, day-to-day, etc. I mentioned I was interested in software and she said software interns mostly test software tools and I would only be looking at code around 50% of the time, if that. It felt discouraging. I truly appreciate honesty but this felt... unwarranted? Harsh? Tactless?
Needless to say, I'm no longer considering NGC.

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (La Jolla, CA) in Nov 2015
Interview
45 minute two-on-one on-campus interview 4 months after I submitted my application online. I had previously met the recruiter at an info session the week before the interview. There weren't any technical questions, only personality/background questions. We also went over projects I had done on my resume. Interview ended a little earlier than scheduled. Interviewers were friendly and gave me suggestions on how to prepare for future interviews.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
I did a phone behavioral and then was invited to an on site. Overall, it was pretty relaxed; the interview was not very intense. It included some basic questions about Computer Science and what kinds of things I liked to do outside of school. Don't stress out too much over the interview. If you know you're stuff, you'll be just fine.
