I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (Redondo Beach, CA)
Interview
interviewed with 5 interviewers in the room. It was very relaxed and conversational. I explained my past experiences which lined up extremely well with the position. I talked about patents that I authored as proof of innovative personality and projected their schedule accurately for the next year based on a short description. It was clear by the end of our one hour interview that I would receive an offer

Interview
This is the second internship position I've applied for and gotten an interview at Northrop Grumman. This time I was called in for an in-person interview and skipped the phone interview. It was in their executive office building, which had a very nice tour/museum with information about the company. 3 people were interviewing me, all were very nice. Basic questions about my education and plans were asked. No technical questions were asked, the position was an IT support position. I was asked about my past projects and job experience, as well as which part of the company I would want to work for if I was hired. Very easy going interview with no grilling or hard questions, seemed more like a compatibility check for me and Northrop Grumman.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Diego, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
The process was really smooth and the interview went well. They made me feel very comfortable which made the rest of the process easy. I was brought in to interview with 3 separate people, one after the other, once done they would walk you to the next person. The first interviewer would check back on you to take you to the next person and then explain how they operate.
