      Support Engineer Interview

      Sep 13, 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at NiCE

      Interview

I submitted my resume through a job website and received a call within a couple of days to setup an interview. The first interview was with the Hiring Manager and his boss. There was nothing unexpected in the interview. Standard questions like "why are you leaving your current position" "describe a situation where you solved a complex issue" and general background question. The Interview lasted about 20-30 minutes and they setup a second technical interview for the following day. The Technical Interview was specifically structured to what my resume listed as my skill set. Other interviews with co-workers have been similarly tailored to their provided background. Within a couple of days I had an interview with the HR representative to discuss benefits and pay questions.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

My background was in computer technology and software, but not directly related to the job I was interviewing for. I was asked why I would leave a job area where I have a deep level of knowledge and understanding to go somewhere I would be starting at the beginning, and is unrelated to what I have been doing for so long.

      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NiCE (Richardson, TX)

      Interview

It seemed that the company was not ready for my interview even though it was scheduled two weeks prior. I waited 20 minutes in the lobby before someone came to retrieve me. When I got to the director, I had to wait another 15 minutes because they were on the phone. I went through three interviews. The other two interviews with other managers went well.
