I applied online. I interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
Interview
The interview process was very quick and very organized. I was impressed at how smoothly the whole process was. I very much enjoyed this interview process compared to many other interviews I have been on. First I had a phone call with an HR representative. Then a phone interview with the chief PA of the department. Then I had an in person interview where I shadowed practicing PAs first then I had a formal in person interview with the chief PA
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (New York, NY) in Jul 2019
Interview
The interview process was quick and relatively easy. I was interviewed by a panel comprised of a clinical manager, the Patient Care Director of the Unit and a staff nurse. The tone of the interview was very conversational. I asked and answered a few questions and the interview went smoothly. The hiring process was much more difficult. I was told that I would be contacted by Talent Acquisition regarding next steps and I didn't get confirmation from them on whether or not I had gotten the position until 4 months later after several attempts through phone calls and emails over this time. The lack of communication over the long period of time was frustrating. Hopefully this is not a trend with the Talent Acquisition Department as I can only imagine that many talented potential staff may have lost to other organizations if this is the case.
