I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at National Instruments (Newbury, England) in Jan 2015
Interview
Assessment day consisting of technical and personal interviews, a technical presentation, and group tasks - They often take you out for a meal in the evening too!
They give you lots of opportunity to ask whatever questions you have - a tour around the facilities to meet current grads on the program and see their table tennis table.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Personal - Typical interview questions about your past experiences, university and skills, targeted towards their competencies. 'Give an example when...'
Technical - More of a discussion/problem solving task about 2 technical scenarios over 40 mins. Coming from electronics, was about encoders and some image processing/edge detection techniques.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at National Instruments (Austin, TX) in Sep 2014
Interview
After a career fair, I received an email asking if I would like to have an on campus interview about 2 weeks later. The interviewer was a young, applications engineer. We discussed how the company works and what an entry level engineer (new grad) would go through. After the details of the company and me asking a couple of questions the interview got technical. They asked 2 questions related to the work they do:coding and hardware. I was rusty and probably didn't answer the questions very well. If you're going to interview with them make sure you have a good coding background and understand some Mechatronics and how hardware components work. The interview lasted about 40 minutes.

I applied through college or university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at National Instruments
Interview
Initially I found NI at my university's engineering career fair. They held an info-session later that night explaining what the company does, a little about Austin, TX, and what positions they were hiring for. They collected resumes and would reply back for an interview the next day on campus if they liked the resume. The next day I got the email and went for a 30 min behavioural interview. They contacted me again for an interview the following day - 30 min technical interview, mainly about signal processing. In two weeks they contacted me for a on-site interview in Austin,TX.

Question 1
The thing I least expected was during the sales interview to do a role-playing scenario. The interviewer asked what technologies I liked or had experience with and then followed the question up with a role-play of me trying to sell the product/technology to him.
