I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at National Instruments
Interview
Had a roughly 20 minute phone call with someone from the company. Passed this and was told to move on to an online test. This test should be passable for anyone with a knowledge who has done A-Level maths and physics, although the range of content might give the impression of it being more difficult than it is. It is important to remember you don't need 100% to pass, so just do what you can.
After this I was invited to an assessment center in Newbury. There were 4 main 'assessment stations'; a pre-prepared presentation, an individual interview and 2 technical 'tests' with an employee, one hardware and one coding. After this we had lunch with employees and had a group task in the afternoon, which basically looked at how we would work in a team planning the build of some Pyramids for a Pharaoh.
None of these were particularly difficult, but I did not get an offer. While I appreciate that they gave feedback their reasoning left a bad taste with me, since it was not something I agreed with. I also wonder whether a different interviewer (there were several different interviewers) might have judged me differently.

Interview
Went very well. Was interviewed by two people, one in the position and one that had previously been in the position. I went in and they asked me several behavioral questions and then a couple of technical questions.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at National Instruments in Sep 2015
Interview
Met them at a career fair, they told me to attend an info session, and later that evening they called to schedule an hour long interview for the next day. I guess they wanted to make sure that the people who they interviewed were dedicated enough to go out of there way fro the career fair to meet with them at another time.
