I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at National Instruments (Newburn, England) in Feb 2016
Interview
Applied online in December. Got an email for the telephone interview after a month. The day after got another email for the online technical test. About a week after test, got invitation to the assessment day in Newbury, UK. There I had both behavioural and technical interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
On telephone interview questions were almost non-technical, things like team working, why NI? what do you know about NI etc.
In assessment centre, questions were about images processing, edge detection, RGB stuff, encoders and their types etc.
I began the hiring process at my university career fair, and I was contacted via email by the end of the week to set up an on-campus interview. Before my interview, I attended an on-campus informational that described the opportunities at NI, both within and outside of the ELP. Definitely attend this informational if you have the opportunity. If you can't, then make sure you are familiar with the opportunities at NI. Also, make sure you have an idea of what their corporate culture is like - it was also a major topic of discussion at the informational
The interviewer did a good job making me feel comfortable throughout the interview. After some small talk, he asked three behavioral questions and two technical questions. None of the questions were particularly difficult. For the technical questions, it appeared as though he cared more about observing my thought process.
Overall a very good experience.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at National Instruments
Interview
Met a recruiter at the career fair and had an email for an interview the next day. Interview was mainly behavioral and how you succeeded, overcame a failure, leadership, etc. Then one more interview over the phone for an idea about what department you want to work for and what kind of work you want to pursue as a career. This was to find your fit for inside the company
