I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Pudong, Shanghai) in Dec 2011
Interview
This is my first time to be in a group interview. There are two interviewers. They asked questions on computer architecture, compiler optimization, and general programming skills. They are very nice and give time to think, even when I decided to give up on one of questions. They are most junior people and they want to hire a senior one.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NVIDIA in Oct 2010
Interview
After I applied my resume online, I got an email from HR.
I interviewed 1:1 with Direct of Arcitecture group.
He asked me what I had done about projects.

Question 1
How do you validate your architecture is working well?
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at NVIDIA (Hillsboro, OR) in Jul 2009
Interview
The first communication was a phone call from an HR representative. This was followed by a 1-hour phone interview. The questions asked during the phone interview where very basic computer architecture questions followed by a simple brain teaser. After this, an on-site visitation was arranged where I had eight 1-hour 1:1 interview with the different member of my new team. The questions varied, but mostly I repeated the quick presentation of my graduate research and answered questions related to that. Most of the people where very interested in the answers.
