I felt unwanted tbh. The manager wasn't even in, and when I had to wait in the staff room there were two other employees and completely ignored me. They were about 45 minutes late to start the assessment. I had no experience and they just left me on the floor and said tidy around....
I got a phone interview firstly - asking me basic interview questions and they were polite and encouraging. Then they asked me to come into the store for an assessment. They set me on ladieswear, seeing how I am around customers, then they put me in the fitting rooms to see how I performed in there. Then they worked with me - they asked me to pick a shoe and say what would go with it - eg colours, items of clothing and the occasion the shoe would be most suitable in. Then they took me up to the managers office and offered me the job there and then!
