Had an interview over the phone to begin with and they if you succeed you go onto do a group interview, where you will be interviewed with other applicants. It is fairy easy.
There was no interview needed for this role as it was temporary and it was during the sales period hence there was no interview however this may be different in each store
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at NEXT in Sep 2021
Interview
I applied online and got a call two days later which I missed, I then missed a further two calls and got an email from the store manager to email/call them back if I was still interested in the position.
I called back and then got invited to go for an assessment two days later, no telephone interview was conducted, but we had a nice chat. The assessment went well and I had to do some stock replenishment and fold up some returns, I had to do very little customer interaction which I was nervous about as I'd read a lot of reviews saying this bit was often what you get failed on if you perform poorly. Also got a mini tour of the store and went through some availability questions, no actual interview questions were asked.
I got offered the job at the end of the interview which I was thrilled about and started 5 days later! Overall one of the best interview experiences I've had, very good communication and a slick online process after being offered the job.
