I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at MuleSoft (Singapur) in Sep 2021
Interview
Disappointing experience with Salesforce (Mulesoft) interview process:
I had 3 rounds of interviews:
1. First round was handled by a Solution Architect and Hiring Manager. This was more to understand my experience as an integration architect with different solution scenarios and how I can handle as an architect.
2. Second round was handled by a Senior Director. From the way interview started, along with my technical skillset he tried to check my confidence levels in handling customers.
3. Third round expectations from the recruiter was to share my findings from a troubleshooting exercise and demonstration of one integration use case. Interview was ended without even seeing the integration use case as the team was more focusing on how much I explored the whitepapers published in Mulesoft website. I tried to explain the expectations from the recruiter, but none of my concerns were supported. Some of panel members who interviewed in my first and second round who were part of this third round also didn’t support on this point. Without even validating my skillset through demo, I was unanimously rejected for this role during the meeting itself.
If there is a change in expectation, I should have been shared with the right expectation or I should be given one more chance to prove myself. Instead deciding in this manner after clearing 2 round interviews, getting such kind of treatment is really awful.
Before this interview process, I always had admiration on Salesforce and when the recruiter had reached out for interview process, I immediately agreed to move ahead with the recruitment process.
It was disappointing to see the company of this stature, misleading the prospective candidates during the interview process.

Other Technical Architect Interview Reviews for MuleSoft
Went thru a round of technical interview on technical architectures; and then went thru a round of behavioral interview with the hiring manager; then was assigned a couple of problems to work on (coding questions), was given a week to prepare, and then need to present the deck along with code to a panel of interviewers.

Interview
A recruiter reached to me on Linkedin to apply for the position.
1. Had a hiring manager interview which was very positive just concentrated on challenges faced in my previous experience with other clients.
2. In the next round had a virtual technical interview where the interviewer couldn't put questions in a meaningful way.
He got confused a lot and confused me like hell and to my surprise, they couldn't move forward.
I hope the interviewer can be more prepared.
