I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Sep 2015
Interview
Phone Screen followed by on-site interview. The recruiters were really nice, and the team engineers interviewing were also very nice and asked me very relevant questions based on my resume. Overall the process was very smooth. There were four interviews and in each one the programming problems became progressively difficult and each interview also involved questions regarding my work, projects and personality test questions.
