I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA) in Sep 2018
Interview
I honestly can not complain about the recruiting process. Everyone is so nice, specially the University recruiter. Everyone in the recruiting team was so nice, always with a smile. The process ran smoothly, even after they forgot to book the flight and notify me. They were still available to fly me in few hours before my interview. The day of the interview, they took us for lunch. After lunch, we had 4 interviews back to back.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Honestly, most of the questions given in the interviews can be easily found in hackerrank.
One question was, Given an array that contains a million of "Points", write a function that returns the first 100 points that are closer to the center. Each "Point" has X and Y coordinates.
Expect a lengthy hiring process that can take at least two months from start to finish. In my experience, there was approximately one month of interviews followed by another month waiting for the final decision. Be prepared for a slow timeline, especially after completing all interview stages.

I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Melbourne)
Interview
After submitting an online application, I received a HackerRank assessment after passing the resume screening stage, then I was rejected after completing the assessment and did not proceed to further interview rounds.
