Was a 2 interview process, first focused on research direction and in-depth discussion of topics. Second focused on general fundamentals in the related field of robotics. Neither required any coding, which I've been told is unusual.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2022
Interview
The questions were exactly what the recruiter told me they may ask for example, which I did not expect! It was over zoom, so I did not have access to a whiteboard. It would be very helpful to write formulas on the board to reduce confusion. The reviewer was confused about something very trivial. His confusion stressed me out and distracted me from the main problem. So I did not do a good job. At the end of the interview, I learned more about the team and figured that I am not interested in what they do.

Interview
First the recruiter emailed me and asked a few general questions over the email. Then I had a coding challange online with someone from Meta where I had to write SQL codes, Python ccode and answer ML case study questions.
