Explained I never interviewed with that hiring manager and I am not accepting role with someone I’ve never met. Call from female hiring manager after business hours 6pm with baby or toddler shouting. Explaining she is hiring manager but day to day I report to make “hiring manager”. Never did I meet the team or explained this work structure. Offers relocation package with one year commitment req. after I expressed compensation > relocation to me. Email from recruiter 3 with job offer to sign off tasks on workday. Email from recruiter 4 for signature of background check paper. Email from recruiter 5 for same documents. Email from recruiter 6 for my social security card and other personal identifying documents to send to their general merck.com email box so that they could send to groups of I identified general email box. Not interested in working for amateurs and company who places little regard on employees privacy and security. Reported to merck privacy, legal and HR. And no action. They thought themselves the job offer was fraudulent and then verified that all the people who contacted me where employees of Merck and they actually just run things like this-like a mess. More than 10,000 people’s ssn and other personal identification records floating around in insecure and no limited access @merck.com email boxes. Did not accept job and reported incident to social security administration for suspected fraudulent activity.
