I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Merck (New Brunswick, NJ) in Oct 2016
Interview
I applied for the Vaccine Manufacturing and Technical Operations Intern position. The interview was very straightforward: why do you want to work for Merck, previous job experience, etc. There was a case-study type question, as well as a question to throw you off at the end (really to gauge your personality). I applied online but the interview was on my college campus (as we have a campus recruiter). Hearing back from my interviewer took many months, however, as well as lots of email correspondence and delays on their part. Had an interview in October and didn't get an offer until December. Rejected the offer because the job didn't interest me as much as another one, but the pay was very nice.

Question 1
How would you deal with X situation? (X being a specific situation you could be facing in your role)
The interview process was quick and easy, I got an email straight from the hiring manager and only had to give one interview, all the people were super nice and welcoming.
First they did a phone interview and then two panel interviews. They ask usual questions, nothing technical based. The panels consisted of 3 people each. Took a while to get back and let you know your results.
It was a very average difficulty process. It did not take as long as other companies in this space to get back to me, and I felt like I was supported throughout the process.
