Question 1
They generally just want to know a litle about you and see if your personality is a good fit for the company
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mercer (Lisboa, Lisboa) in Mar 2020
Interview
I was contacted by the HR manager for an interview. The process took 2 weeks, including an IQ test and the final interview. The final interview includes a super easy role-play exercise in the first 30 minutes. They are super nice, the company is very open to everyone, but sometimes it is "too open". They believe that regardless of your background, you can be whatever you want, even if you are not skilled enough. It is common to find people from health sciences working in the Investments team without any training. It seemed to me that they lack real leaders and experts, someone you can look at and see a reference. However, they praise their work-life balance and diversity in terms of gender, race, sexual orientation, etc, which is really good. Also, all employees get a lot of benefits (excluding interns). An intern does not receive a competitive salary compared with the industry standards and works as much as or even more than the other employees. During the interview, you will understand that they try to sell the position as something great with a steep learning curve, but if you make some key questions, you'll see it is not that interesting.
