I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Mercer in Mar 2022
Interview
Long but simple assessment centre. A short presentation, competency questions, and a group discussion. For some reason it dragged on for 5 hours though, and was phoned very close to assessment about the assessment.

Question 1
What do you know about the current pensions industry?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mercer (Londres, Inglaterra) in May 2019
Interview
Mercer has a typical hiring process with tests, a video interview and an assessment centre. The assessment centre itself was very engaging and enjoyable. The day consisted of a group exercise, a written exercise, a short pre-prepared presentation and an interview. Everyone I met on the day including people from HR and the recent graduates were lovely and very welcoming. I would highly recommend applying to Mercer.

Question 1
Describe a time you were faced with a challenge and what was the outcome?
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Mercer (Birmingham, Inglaterra) in Feb 2017
Interview
Initial screening of CV and cover letter, then if successful a short video interview with the standard competency and motivational questions. Online tests are fairly standard and are similar to online practice ones.
Assessment centre consists of 4 tasks. The written task is a sheet of data and questions to demonstrate your knowledge of the pensions and investments industries, not to challenging provided you have done prior research. The mock client meeting gives you a brief and you have to work out what questions to ask the client to gather the relevant information to pass on. The group discussion you discuss and choose a pension plan for a client. Final interview with someone from the pensions side and someone from the investment side. Fairly standard questions about knowledge of the company and its market position, industry issues and competency questions. They also provided lunch and the opportunity to talk to recent graduates so any questions could be answered.
Overall very good process although there was usually a long time with no contact between stages of the process, if you don't hear anything for a while it doesn't mean you haven't advanced to the next part of the process.
