Interview
I put in a general application online, and was called for an interview 3 days later. Upon my arrival I was asked to fill out a paper application with all the information from my online application (total redundancy). There was also a "are drugs okay?" survey. 40 minutes later I was greeted by the assistant general manager who gave a spiel about the Manager in Training program, however I wasn't really interested in this due to the relocation requirements. I simply wanted to interview for an entry level position, and move up the grass roots way. I think we had a mutual feeling that all this time was wasted.
I really wish Menard's would list their current open positions or at least not assume that a college graduate wants to be in the MIT program.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Menards in Oct 2009
Interview
First of all I was interviewed in October of 2006. I went in and filled out an application and a personality inventory. The second interview was with the Second shift Supervisor. It was a 1:1 interview. I was asked general questions and questions specific to the job like Are you allergic to saw dust? Can you lift 60 pounds?

Interview
I did not receive the position because I did not have my Bachleors Degree yet. I have just finished my degree, and wonder why someone would go to college for 4 years to work for 10 dollars an hour at Menards.
I think they need to look at job experience and not college education levels when interviewing for department managers.
