I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Medallia (Palo Alto, CA) in May 2015
Interview
Medallia's interview experience is valuable whether or not it results in an offer. Throughout the process there is constant evaluation of your behavioral drivers, mindset and self-awareness. The rigorous emphasis on these areas forces introspection and builds instant trust as the interviewers are happy to reciprocate openly. Medallia genuinely wants to understand who you are, what makes you tick and how you see the world - they want to know if & how you spend time reflecting and purposefully improving. You will (or at least should) learn something valuable about yourself in the interview process.
Beyond initial screening, there were 3 major stages:
1. Phone interview - pretty standard phone interview
2. In-person interview and challenge presentation - expect to invest significant time into the challenge
3. Cultural interview - deep dive into who you are, how you think, what you're passionate about, etc.
Effort, open mind & open heart required.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Medallia in Nov 2021
Interview
The process was first described to me as quick, 3-4 weeks tops. In reality it was 6 weeks start to finish. This is not a negative, just reality. In my case, I believe I was one of the first interviewed, and the last 10 or so days of 6 weeks I spent following up with them. I had to follow-up to receive word that I did not get the position.

The final round required a mock sales pitch, which required significant prep time. You were given access to their platform's sandbox, and were asked to give a 30-40 minute sales pitch to 3 members of their org.
