I applied in mid-July for a Retail Sales online position, didn't hear anything until early September for a Virtual Careers Summit as they called it. Over Zoom, there was a bunch of us, upwards of probably 60 people from all over the country in a meeting. They played a video about Mecca as a brand and then we were to hang out in the main Zoom meeting with a playlist and talk amongst ourselves while the 1:1 meetings went on in breakout rooms. I was eventually invited into a breakout room and did my interview, asking some retail experience questions and told it would take 2-4 weeks for them to get back to me. I was then back in the main meeting until we did the group activity, which was watching a video on customer service and then being put into small groups with a Mecca host and talking about what could be improved on in that video in terms of customer service. This whole process took about 2 hours. About half a week later, they asked for references and residency information, and then complete radio silence since then. I sent a follow up email at the end of the four weeks to the careers email address, and nothing except an automatic reply that they would aim to get back to me in 5 days time. I sent another email after the five days, and still nothing.
