I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard (Purchase, NY) in Dec 2013
Interview
Applied through on-campus recruiting, followed with an onsite Superday. Interviewed with the leaders of all their product divisions and an employee from HR. Standard behavioral interview (Why mastercard, walk me through your resume, etc) -- since the interview is not terribly analytical or case based, make sure you know your answers thoroughly and have a compelling pitch for you're a good fit for the position. Research the products beforehand, come in with knowledge of the payments industry, possible competitors, and your own ideas. One brief case study for their prepaid division. Overall, very painless if you're well prepared and know what you're doing.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mastercard (Toronto, ON) in Sep 2024
Interview
Video interview was 3 scenario-based questions, very straightforward and can be prepped beforehand.
No need to prep for "tell me about yourself" and "Why this company" type of questions for this round.

Reflect on a significant achievement in your past work/internship
The interview process consisted of two to four rounds of interviews and I would consider the level of difficulty as average. Overall, people are friendly and want to see if you'll be a fit for the team.

I applied online. I interviewed at Mastercard (Varsovia, Mazovia) in Apr 2023
Interview
Very easy process, I had to do an interview and play 12 games to check if my skills align with requirements of the job. The only minus is that you have to record yourself rather than speak to a person.
