I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mastercard in Sep 2018
Interview
On campus recruiting event followed by a resume and cover letter drop and an invitation to interview on campus.
I walked in to the on-campus interview fairly confident. I did have a bit of trouble establishing chemistry with the interviewer. He seemed very quiet. Not rude by any stretch, but I felt I had difficulty establishing rapport.
Initially asked me basic questions about my resume and past experience, one brain teaser and then a product design question. I dunno if I was taking too much time, but he rushed me through each step of the design question. We eventually ran over time. I was happy with my performance and tried to squeeze in as much as I could in the time allotted but the interviewer seemed unimpressed. Definitely practice common PM interview questions under time pressure before you interview here.
I interviewed for the pm launch program in shanghai. startes with an video interview. first round is with the head of product in chinese; second round is with the senior vp in english. both takes 30 minutes. the questions were mostly behavorial and related to your past experience
After submitting my application online, I was invited to participate in a video interview. During this initial virtual meeting, I had the opportunity to discuss my qualifications, experiences, and motivations for applying to the Associate Product Manager position at Mastercard.
I found the interview process to be well-organized and generally straightforward. It allowed me to showcase my skills and passion for product management while learning more about Mastercard's expectations and values. Overall, it was a positive experience that reinforced my enthusiasm for the role.
