I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marshalls in Sep 2009
Interview
After applying online and waiting a week, I called and checked on the status of the application. After doing so again every few days they finally called me in for a one to one interview. Not until I was hired did I realize why they took so long. The managers are either incompetent or hired incompetent employees so they had to pick up all their slack. This left little time to conduct human resources operations. The interview was pretty standard retail questions on problem solving and customer relations. I received a phone call a few days later.
Straight forward simple interview questions. The staff was nice and it was during the seasonal season. Did an application, got a call back in within 2weeks, interviewed and got an offer in the next couple of days .
The interview was very easy and simple. They asked a few questions about experience, strengths, weaknesses and education. It was a professional yet casual setting. Overall, they just want to know if you have the right personality or experience to do the job well.
It was easy and chill. The questions were not too hard, and the environment was warm. Make sure you know a little bit about the company's background and operations. But overall it was good. Good Luck!
