I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Mars (Bolton, ON) in Sep 2009
Interview
-Great interview preparation tips provided on the Mars website
-Be sure to read up on the 5 principles and be able to communicate what they mean to you
-I was asked a great deal about past experience in the marketing industry and why I was passionate about it
-Give concrete examples
-Asked about my favourite ad
-Be able to defend your answers and answer with committment
it was a website where you had to answer questions on a screen while recorded. It gave you a chance to retake it and time to prepare as well. Overall, not bad but lacked face to face interaction.
I applied online. I interviewed at Mars (Abu Dhabi, )
Interview
It was easy and only relevant questions were asked, just focus on the job description and what the role offers. It is also good if you learn about the company before the interview
After a first quick phone call with HR I was invited to a longer video interview with the same person. We went over my past experiences and education, motivations, behavioural and situational questions. Around half of the interview was focusing on technical questions linked to the role and business topics, it felt more like a badly carried out school exam than an interview. The interview wasn't difficult per se (given I had already some work experience in the same area and a good business knowledge), but the interviewer had a really bad attitude, was rude and condescending.
