I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Main Event (Dallas, TX) in Sep 2015
Interview
Apply online, HR phone interview, DM 1-on-1 interview, and then a job shadow. Followed by phone conversation with the VP of OPs. You will have all interviews at one of their centers prior to them opening in a office setting. You will also have to complete a background check, a personality assessment, reference need to be provided.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You will be asked to walk through you background and then given the opportunity to ask questions. Throughout the process they will explain the plans for expansion in the near future, etc. They are looking for restaurant managers with full-service backgrounds, however, given the DM has fast-food and fast-casual restaurant management experience, makes no sense why he would make not that they were solely looking for candidates only with full-service backgrounds. This could be because their training program is not up to the par as their competitor, in the same segment.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Main Event (Plano, TX) in Jan 2014
Interview
Went in and interviewed with the bowl manager. After that he said he might have to schedule me for another interview with the General Manager, but he was available to interview me then. He was nice and it was a positive experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Main Event (Houston, TX) in Jun 2011
Interview
Went through two interviews. First one with manager for the department, second one with the GM. Both fairly simple interviews. Basically asking what would you do in certain scenarios. Trying to find out if you'd be a good fit at busy times since it does tend to get fairly busy on the weekends.
