I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MAERSK (Nueva Delhi) in Aug 2018
Interview
Interview includes written test.
1. Implementation of smart pointers using reference count.
2. Copy constructors,destructors, assignment operator.
3. Sorting and merging 2 array, nothing much was mentioned about space complexity.
Solving any 2 out of 3 was enough to clear the written test.
Since lot of people came for interview hence half of the people were sent back even after clearing the written test and are asked to wait for f2f which may happen next week.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at MAERSK (New York, NY) in Jul 2018
Interview
There 2 rounds. First round was a detailed one by a team lead. He first asked me to rate myself on these categories- dot net framework, oops, c# programming, SQL, design patterns, etc. The interview consisted of various questions, writing programs and queries and he finally said I was selected. This was followed by a breif interaction with hiring manager who just asked to write a SQL query and jumped to discuss my expectation on CTC. The main reason for my change was to move closer to home as I've a toddler. And it appears that the hiring manager thought I was desperate for this opportunity and offered a meager hike, I expressed my disappointment at the offer and returned. The HR called me a week later offering the same amount and promised that the company will surprise me by the year end. After going back and forth I agreed for the offer. But after a week the HR said my candidature is on hold. The consultant said they couldn't get me a better compensation. I didn't like the way they handled my candidature. Later I learnt from a friend that they offered very good package for her friends. So it was my sore grape although technical interview went well.
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MAERSK (Mumbai) in Oct 2013
Interview
Hiring was fast pace, though many levels of interviews, but it was great and managed well, right from HR rounds, technical round, mid level interview and stake holder telephonic round and the final round, along with medical test and document verification
about myself regarding education and experience, questions were related to overall experience and was more kind of practical (according to me) which made more sense to me because the more your experience its more practical to know ones approach towards work, integrated, focused, and yes of course the relevant technical skills
