I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lush (Orange, CA) in Jun 2021
Interview
The interview process took about a week and a half for me. First I had a phone interview which was pretty thorough the manager asked me a lot of questions about myself and my experiences in customer service. After this, I got an offer for a second interview (culture hour) which was different from any other interview experience I have had. For culture hour you basically go in for about an hour they explain lushes background and goals. They basically have you roleplay as you work there (don't worry though they do give you some practice). Overall I think the management at the store was awesome and although I didn't get the job I interviewed for I was offered to be put on call for the seasonal hire which I accepted.

Interview
Unethical trial shifts used by this company. I applied online and was invited to a group assessment which I passed. After that I was invited to a “trial shift”, basically you are expected to work as an employee with no training or product knowledge for no money. As a company that prides themselves on their ethics, this is nothing short of disgusting - they are exploitative and evil.
I failed the trial shift for not being “hands on enough”. I was expected to give a customer a skin consultation, despite having no product knowledge or knowledge of dermatology. Highly dangerous practice, exploiting both the applicant and the customer. Have never returned to this shop as a customer, as I would not wish to have a skin consultation with someone who is not trained in dermatology, never mind someone who isn’t even being paid.
Awful store, exploitative and is pretty much modern slavery. Scamming customers and applicants alike. If asked to attend a trial shift, tell them where to stick it!

Interview
Group interview with different tasks including a brief interview with the supervisor and manager.
One task was with another interviewee where we were given a scenario and had to suggest gift options and the reason why we chose what we did
Another task was to prepare a demo using a pre-chosen list of products and talk about these products as though our partner was a customer.
