Emailed in my CV and covering letter mid-July, received an e-mail with an interview offer for beginning of August.
Interview was a bunch of group tasks. We were split into 4 groups of 4-6 people, one group would design a product, one would practice customer demos, one did a personalised shopper task (got given a scenario and had to chose products for it) and then the other was a mini group interview, then we would switch and all groups presented their finished product at the end.
Third and final stage was a shop floor trial. I found this the most stressful part as I felt I didn't know enough about the products to provide a personalised experience, but staff are always on hand to help and don't expect you to know everything.
The whole process was really fun and relaxed, really well organised and staff were fab. However, I have had other interviews at different Lush stores and found that not all of them are like this. One in particular was incredibly unorganised, the group interview had over 50 people in it and it was not an enjoyable experience at all. It really depends on the store and often its size.
