I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Luno (Cape Town)
Interview
Went through an interview process that spanned over a few weeks and had to interview with 4 people (individually, so that's 4 interview sessions). After each interview I was advised that I was successful to move on to the next stage. I also had to do an assessment which took a few hours to complete. All interviews went well and they acknowledged assessment was passed too. However, they went silent. I kept following up and eventually got a generic response that my application was not successful. I requested proper feedback and HR advised that the Manager of the department left the company with immediate effect which caused the delay. Also that the position was filled.
I found out later through reliable sources that they actually were retrenching people. Common decency would dictate that you don't put people through that entire process if you know retrenchment is lurking in the background, and to get back to the interviewee.

Question 1
What would you do to ensure that Luno can deal with massive demand spikes comfortably?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Luno (Kuala Lumpur) in Feb 2024
Interview
HR interview, take home assessment, hiring manager interview & HOD interview. I think the final stage is difficult because rather than asking about my technical knowledge and experience, interviewer was fixated by my short working time in my previous employers. I made remarks about my goal to find job stability, but I was quickly shut down as I was told "not to make promises".

Interview
The interview process was nice but a bit long. What I loved the most was Luno doing a final interview step with me to make sure I was aware of the job spec and responsibilities. This allows me to know exactly whats expected from me.
HR was lovely and fully supported me during the process which was something new to me.

Question 1
Situational type questions mostly. Was lengthy as I used the full 90 minutes to provide my answers and then to ask questions.
