I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement in Apr 2010
Interview
I spent weeks trying to get an interview set up because I had a small window of opportunity being at school. Finally got an interview, HR manager was fairly unprofessional. Went in for the interview with HR manager, had an interview with the Store Manager 10 minutes later. Asked to come back for third interview the following day. Was kept waiting fr 15 minutes, no big deal. Met with another Store manager, interview went okay and I did my drug test. I actually saw someone later that day that I saw working there and she said I was a shoe-in because I had 3 interviews and a drug test. All three of the people I interviewed with basically told me I could get onto the schedule so I was feeling good about it. Said they would call me in a few days when the drug test went through. By 5:00 that night I got an email saying they are choosing to pursue other candidates! For so much promising and leading me on, I was very upset that they declined right away. Especially when my only 2 days home could have been better spent applying elsewhere.

The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Edinburg, TX) in Apr 2010
Interview
Well to be honest i was disappointed in the hr clerk. I was just about to start my interview when she decided to get on a conference call for a meeting I guess she was supposed to be a part of. So the whole time during the interview i was trying to conentrate and answer the questions while at the same time listening to HR issues throughout the company. It was totally unprofessional. On top of that you would think HR being the first contact for a new applicant would have a better attitude and be open. Not this lady. :(
