Lowe's Home Improvement interview questions

Applied for half a dozen different positions at Lowe's and received a call from their HR manager to schedule an interview within a few days. The process consisted of two interviews, the first of which was conducted by the HR manager. She gave me a printout showing the job and requirements, and asked me a few questions about my mechanical background. We then moved on to the usual half a dozen "Tell me about a time when X happened" questions, all of which were easily answered. I waited for about five minutes, and was then interviewed by an assistant store manager who asked me a series of questions nearly identical to the first. At the end I was told they had a few more interviews to conduct, and if they were to hire me they would contact me within a week and have me come back in for the drug test and background check paperwork. Whether or not they were just blowing me off remains to be seen I suppose. Also for whatever it's worth, both interviewers were pleasant and easy to deal with.

I interviewed with one woman on my campus. The overall interview was very typical. The woman just asked me a set of questions from a sheet with typical interview questions such as about past experiences. I was given a second interview, but the process for second interviews seems very unorganized. It has been a few weeks since they sent out the e-mail and have not replied back to my email. The overall company seems like a good place to work at; the lady seemed very nice and seemed to really enjoy her position at Lowe's. My advice would be to just be yourself and answer the questions honestly and to the best of your ability.
