I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Ocala, FL) in Jul 2012
Interview
Moderate interview in my opinion. First interview will be with the HR manager. Typical questions included past experience and how you went about doing said jobs. Other questions will include rating your handiness, if you believe you could put together displays and how long it would take, etc. Second interview is with an Assistant Store Manager, and mine was almost the exact same list of questions, so be prepared to remember prior answers. Overall, if you get your second interview, you're pretty much golden.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most difficult question asked was how I would go about helping a customer plan a project. It was difficult because I had never worked retail before, so I didn't really know the procedure, but just think like you're a customer who knows what they're looking for and you'll most likely give the right answer.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2009
Interview
The hiring process for this company is normally smooth, quick and efficient. It depends a lot on the HR Manager and their ability to select, interview and hire the right person without showing favortism or being too selective. The employees that have worked for Lowe's should be paid better to start than what some of the HR Managers pay them.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Shreveport, LA) in Jan 2010
Interview
Applied online and received a call in about 3 days to come in for an interview. The first interview was to talk about the resume submitted, limitations, and getting a drug test. The second interview was to review the drug test and get hired.
