I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Lockton Companies (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2009
Interview
Very informal process that takes a long time. You will meet with several perople in the office and will have to keep coming back again and again due to their schedules. You will meet several producers along with the Operations Manager and the CEO of the location. Each office runs as its own company with support from Corporate.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No real difficulat questions. It's more of them trying to get to know you. Just be yourself and you'll be fine. Ask detail questions about the culture of the company. Really dig deep into this aspect to make sure it is a fit for you. Not alot of people fit within the Lockton culture especially if you are coming from a big brokerage house.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lockton Companies in Jun 2011
Interview
I got the interview through a temp agency.I did a phone interview and was then emailed for a request for an in-office interview. It consisted of two people. One person was more casual in attire, and asked a lot of questions about how I came by my training and experience. I was working at one company for over five years lot long ago so I got plenty of experience there. I also voiced my experiences, but it didn't seem to be enough. She told me that a license isn't required for this position. Ok fine. This position would be doing two roles since there was no longer a support person attached. The second person was more intense. I found it to be a gruelling interview. They didn't ask the usual questions, like asking me about myself. Usually when I interview, I can make the interviewers laugh and smile. This was not the case. The woman also said that the benefits weren't that great. I thought that was a strange thing to say to an interviewee. Like she was trying to persuade me from the job. I did my research on this company before I had the interview, and I relayed to them the knowledge I had on them, the good stuff, the new acquired appointed companies overseas. She didn't know about that one, and I think that she didn't like that.
