I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Auburn, AL) in Nov 2018
Interview
This was an on-campus hiring event where people would line up based on the position that they were interest in. Most of the interview was about reviewing my resume and asking some behavioral questions on my course and work experience.
It wasn't too difficult, and you could probably use the STAR technique to easily get through the behavioral questions. I mostly put relevant courses on my resume to show them my qualifications, i.e. Parallel Processing, Embedded Design Lab, etc.
I was really surprised when they gave me an offer on the spot afterwards.
Received a prescreening email, asking questions pertaining to the position, I responded to the questions. A few weeks later, received another email tell me I was no longer under consideration.
Phone call, interview, offer. Interview was very easy questions about how you would approach different situations but nothing too specific needed or challenging. As long as you are somewhat prepared with examples of difficult situations you'll be fine.
They described a bit about the role, and then asked standard interview questions, followed by consenting to a background check. nothing out of the ordinary. The interviewer was friendly and took a real interest in what I had to say.
