Following the production of a CV/CL, I was given a digital Hirevue interview. The process is fairly straightforward, if only a waste of time for most, as despite the effort up to this stage you will not receive any sort of feedback unless you proceed to live interviews- the AI that handles the Hirevue process (which bases the interview on intonation of voice, and the motion of your eyebrows) does not see fit to tell you how you performed. Overall, I enjoyed the games portion of the interview, though. Shape matching and rapid numeracy are quite fun. I don't believe AI-powered interviews are fair to candidates though- if a candidate is going to spend hours preparing CV/CL's, and for the interview/research, the company should at least expend some effort in putting human power behind their response. Cap the number of applications if necessary- but don't use an AI to waste the effort of numerous interviewees when you only have so many roles to fill. It's like advertising a cadillac to a thousand people, all of which have the intent of buying said cadillac, and all of whom will have expended much effort in reaching the dealership, only to be turned back by a doorsign rather than a human being.
