I was contacted by a recruiter for this particular position, based on some key functions of previous work. I was put in touch with a hiring manager and had an hour long phone interview within a week. Hiring manager told me I was a great fit and if it were up to her, she'd hire me right away. I am later asked to come in for an interview with some other Leidos staff, that didn't actually show up. I was essentially conducting a phone interview again and the hiring manager literally asked the same questions from my first interview…what a waste of time.
I thought I had the job in the bag and then radio silence. Two weeks go by and I email the hiring manager and get no response. The next day, I get a generic HR email saying the job is no longer available. I forward this email to the hiring manger and ask for some helpful interview tips and thanked her for her time. NOTHING.
Two months later, the hiring manager emails me back with some "tips," and I come to find out the person they hired had received a better offer and they want me to come in on a temporary basis (pending a higher clearance), I agreed to this and expected to start work…radio silence.
Its has been 11 days and I have not been contacted by anyone at Leidos.
I have never dealt with this kind of behavior and I wouldn't expect a company of this size to have such unprofessional people in charge of hiring. Waiting to see what fresh hell is to come from this…luckily I have a contingent hire and an interview next week.
