I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Leidos (Bethesda, MD) in Jan 2017
Interview
The recruiter didn't provide me with last minute job requirement changes. The pre-interview process included two phone screenings, writing samples and essay questions. The recruiter told me the first face to face interview would be a group “panel” interview. The hiring manager conducted the telephone and first face to face interview. A week later at the second interview the first staff member was on time, the second 20 minutes late and the third was a no show. We had to start the interview all over again so the late staff person could catch up on what was already discussed.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The two person panel asked questions unrelated to the role of a corporate trainer. The questions focused on area such as responding and writing government RFPs and performing as the back up person for the requirements analyst.
The job changed because there might not be enough work for a corporate trainer to do.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Leidos (Washington, DC)
Interview
I interviewed for a business analyst position for a federal government project in the Washington, DC metro region. First round interview was over the phone with one project team member. Interview was a mix of questions about past experience (things that are on your resume) and more theoretical questions (see Interview Questions below for more details).
I was invited to a second round in person interview with some other project team members, but at the last minute the interview was cancelled because they had interviewed and hired someone else for the position.
I would be far more understanding of this situation if the project itself was cancelled, had its budget cut, etc. But for Leidos to say that they're interested in you as a candidate, schedule an interview, and then to cancel the interview because they've gone ahead and hired someone else is very disrespectful of the time and energy I put into the interview process (preparing for the interview, the actual interview, etc.). This experience raises questions about whether one can believe what Leidos says during the recruitment process and about how interested Leidos really is in any particular candidate.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
A mix of past experience-based questions (e.g., what your current project is about, what tools you've used, how have you handled scope creep) and more abstract theoretical questions (e.g., what are key skills someone in your position might need, what are key components of a given work product, when would you say you're finished with a given work product).
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Leidos (Washington, DC) in Dec 2016
Interview
First point of contact was the company recruiter. A mutual agreed upon appointment time was scheduled for interview - Then follow up in-person interview was with the entire team.
