Applied online for a Christmas temp vacancy in any London boutique. Had a phone interview that was fairly simple, then got another phone call a week later inviting me to an interview day. Once I arrived at the interview day on Great Portland St, it included a presentation, a group activity and a one on one interview. The presentation was good and informative, the group activity was a bit silly. We had act out a scenario that would happen in one of the stores, but only 2/3 people out 5 in the group could perform. The one on one interview was TERRIBLE. the woman interviewing me kept asking me about my work experience in an office rather than my years of retail experience. She claimed that because it was the most recent thing it was the most applicable, and wouldn't let me refer to my shop work or retail experience. Ridiculous interviewer, stupid irrelevant questions.
