I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kroger (Marietta, GA) in Sep 2011
Interview
Applied online. Standard online application included basic info and a Q&A assessment test. Do not "Strongly Agree" or "Strongly Disagree" with anything and you should pass it just fine.
HR called and asked me to come in for an interview with the manager.
Wear something nice -
Men: Collared button-down shirt (tucked in), slacks/khakis(no shorts) and belt (preferably one that matches shoe color), loafers or not-worn-out sneakers. No flip-flops or sandles.
Women: Nice shirt with slacks or skirt. A dress is ok too, but make sure it is covered (if sleeveless) and an appropriate length(right above knee or longer). Shoes can be dress sandle to high heels. No flip-flops.
The manager made it a point to tell me I look polished and presentable. He hired me after a 5 minute interview.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Duluth, GA) in Jul 2008
Interview
Very simple and basic interview. Only asking for the basic questions and not really much more. Not really sure if they actually do background searches or anything else to ensure the quality for their workforce. Questions are super generic and can pretty much be responded with canned answers fairly easily.
